Who we are
Azool is operated by Azool (contact: hello@azool.io). Contact: hello@azool.io. We are the data controller for the account data described below. For guest data that hosts enter or import, the host is the controller and Azool is the processor acting on the host's instructions.
What we collect
Account data: name, business name, email address, mobile number if you add one, and your sign-in activity. Property data: property names, calendar feed URLs, bookings imported from those feeds (dates, guest names and party size as provided by the channel), and settings you choose. Guest registration data: details guests submit through a host's check-in form, stored for the host. Support data: messages you send through the Help page or by email. Technical data: server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) kept for security and troubleshooting. Analytics: we use self-hosted Umami on azool.io, which sets no cookies and stores no personal identifiers; it is not used inside the app.
Why we use it
To provide the service (sync calendars, send briefings and alerts you asked for, sign you in), to support you, to keep the service secure, and to meet legal obligations. Legal bases under the GDPR: performance of a contract, our legitimate interest in running and securing the service, and consent where you opt in to text messages.
Messages
We send sign-in links and account emails by email. Text messages (morning briefing, same-day alerts, sign-in codes) are sent only to numbers whose owners opted in, and can be turned off on your Profile page at any time.
Who we share it with
Providers who process data for us under contract: hosting (Contabo GmbH, Germany), transactional email (Resend), text messages (Twilio), and, only if you connect it, PriceLabs for pricing recommendations using the API key you supply. We do not sell personal data and do not share it with advertisers.
Where it is stored
On servers in the European Economic Area. Email and SMS providers may process data outside the EEA under standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Account and property data for as long as your account is active and for up to 90 days after you close it, unless a longer period is required by law. Server logs for up to 30 days. Guest registration data for as long as the host keeps it; hosts can delete it.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent, by writing to hello@azool.io. You can complain to the Icelandic Data Protection Authority (Persónuvernd) or your local supervisory authority.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit; API keys are encrypted at rest; each customer's data is stored separately; access is logged.
Children
Azool is for businesses and is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
We will post changes here and, for material changes, notify account holders by email.
